Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Hindi: भाग मिल्खा भाग, English: "Run Milkha Run") is a 2013 Indian biographical sports drama film produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra on a script written by Prasoon Joshi, based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Pavan Malhotra, Yograj Singh and Prakash Raj.
Made on a budget of INR300 million (US$4.8 million), the film released on 12 July 2013 and gathered a positive response from critics and audiences alike. It also performed very well at the box office, eventually being declared a "super hit" domestically and hit overseas. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is currently the fifth highest grossing Bollywood film of 2013 in India[10] and became the twenty-first film to gross INR1 billion (US$16 million).
Singh and his daughter, Sonia Sanwalka, co-wrote his autobiography, titled The Race of My Life. The book was launched post the release of the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was based on an orginal script that was part fact and part fiction written by Prasoon Joshi. Singh sold the film rights for one rupee but inserted a clause stating that a share of the profits would be given to the Milkha Singh Charitable Trust. The Trust was founded in 2003 with the aim of assisting poor and needy sportspeople.

The soundtrack of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. For this project, their lyricist partner is as always the amazing lyricist/poet/writer Prasoon Joshi who also wrote the film.
